Miss Newcastle is a regional heat of Miss England and takes place annually, promoting not only our local beauty and talent, but helping local charities too.
This is the fourth year that Tyne Tees Models has had the privilege to host Miss Newcastle. Last year’s event was a tremendous success and this year promises to be even better.
20 beautiful girls from the region will compete for the crown of Miss Newcastle and the winner will go on to represent the city in the Miss England competition. This years competition is ‘The Year Of Bollywood’ and this theme will carry through the promotional activity into the event itself with fabulous costumes and dazzling entertainment.
Each year Miss Newcastle supports a local charity. In 2008 we raised over £6000 for the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund, in 2009 we raised nearly £7000 for Charlie Bear for Cancer Care. Last year, 2010 we raised over £6000 for The Percy Hedley Foundation.
Miss Newcastle 2011 promises a night of glamour, elegance & fun as we search for one lucky girl to be an ambassador for the city. This year we are raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care www.mariecurie.org.uk
